Association of Canadian Mountain Guides

The Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) is the professional body and voice for all aspects of mountain guiding and instruction in Canada. The ACMG is also the Canadian member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA). Every CMH Mountain Guide has completed an 8-year certification process with the ACMG or the IFGMA.

Avalanche Canada is a pioneering non-profit organization that oversees forecasting and education efforts to keep skiers and snowboarders safe in the backcountry. In partnership with the Canadian Avalanche Association, the two sister organizations set avy training standards for everyone from recreationalists to professional guides and have been integral partners of CMH and the heli-skiing industry since our earliest founding days.

HeliCat Canada

HeliCat Canada is the trade association of the helicopter and snowcat skiing industry. Its mandate is to promote the continual improvement of the industry through research, education, and advocacy, and by overseeing a trade accreditation program. CMH is a member of HeliCat Canada and is dedicated to upholding the highest operating standards in the industry. CMH contributes annually to HeliCat Canada’s Wildlife & Environmental Research Fund.
